FAQ
How ordering, stars, prices, API relays, sponsorship, and the newsletter work.
Directory and data
How is this directory ordered?
Featured is an editorial flag, not a star ranking. Other categories show featured entries first, then alphabetical names. API relays are alphabetical only. They cannot be featured, sponsored, or included in a comparison.
Where do the star counts come from?
Star counts come from the entry's linked public GitHub repository, and each tool page shows the date the count was read. Entries without a public repository show none, and API relays never show one. The number changes over time. It is not a quality score.
Why are prices not quoted?
Prices change often. Entries record verified free, freemium, or paid models and verified plan names. When official pricing is not published, the entry says “Pricing not disclosed” rather than assuming a free or paid plan. Confirm amounts on the official site.
API relays
Why does every API relay show a disclaimer?
A relay handles keys, data, and charges. This directory has not audited those sites. The fixed line is: Unverified, not an endorsement. Assess the risk yourself; you are responsible for your own data and funds.
Can an API relay be recommended or sponsored?
No. An API relay cannot be featured or sponsored and never appears in a comparison, and the relay category has no sponsor slot.
Comparisons
Which is better: Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex?
The comparison has no winner and no overall score. It places vendor, surface, source, and pricing model side by side. Cursor has no linked public product repository, so stars cannot compare it with the other two.
Sponsorship
How do I become a sponsor?
Sponsorship is not open yet. The sponsor page describes placements and policies. Sponsorship never affects ordering, featured picks, or comparisons.
